McLaren Caro Region is a 25-bed critical access hospital in Caro, Michigan committed to promoting the health and wellness of our communities by providing exceptional patient-centered care. It is a non-profit, locally-governed community hospital that has been serving the community since 1928. The hospital offers a full range of health and wellness services at the hospital campus and off-site locations. The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is a leader in transformative cancer care, research and education through courage, commitment and compassion. As part of McLaren Health Care, Karmanos is the largest provider of cancer care and research in the state of Michigan.

There were 15,208 households, out of which 30.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.4% were married couples living together, 14.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.7% were non-families. 32.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 3.04. As of the census of 2000, there were 36,817 people, 15,208 households, and 9,322 families residing in the city. Mrs. Diane Lynne Orlando, 63 of Hillman passed away Sunday November 27,2022 at home surrounded by her family. The daughter of George and Irene Bennett was born on April 3,1959 in Flint, Michigan. Diane graduated from Hillman High School in 1977, staying in the Hillman area she raised her children while working several jobs in the health care industry.

HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee and University of Central Florida College of Medicine launched their first medical education residency program, ABC affiliate WTXL reported July 12. Healthcare systems have started residency programs and partnerships to address workforce shortages. Holland Hospital and its 160 providers will be in-network for HAP's Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO members.
